Turning 30 was more fun than I thought it would be!
The theme for my 30th birthday was Some of my Favourite Things. The three ‘things’ I focussed on were:
Aviation: I went on a hot air balloon ride.
Massages: I had the best Hammam massage in Turkey!
Classic Cars: I rented a classic car and did a birthday photoshoot.
The location was Cappadocia. It was picturesque and phenomenal, the ambience was even better.
When I told my friend, Taiwo, that I was planning to go on a solo trip to Cappadocia for my 30th birthday, she ignored me and proceeded to invite herself. Taiwo and I have been friends since JSS 1 and we had not seen each other in person since she left for the U.S. in SS1 (2007). Taiwo coming along made the trip more fun and enjoyable. I am glad she came.
Cappadocia was good! good!! good!!! I look forward to going back again at some point in the future. We stayed at the beautiful Rox Goreme. The owners and staff were pleasant and made our stay enjoyable and relaxing.
Cappadocia was especially good to me, so many God moments I cannot even fully explain.
With this post, I bid the year 2023 goodbye! It has been a year of realignment and restabilising. 2023 was a good year to me. I am grateful.
